As of a few weeks ago Neopets terms & conditions have been updated to include this Basically this means that in order to keep an account safe from 'age deletion' you must log into it at least once every two years. This applies to side accounts as well as main accounts, so just beware. Ignorance is not an excuse ^_^ On the bright side, it might free up a bunch of old names. Maybe they'll do the same with iced pets too. We can only hope.
the old rule was that ur account never gets deleted... its better this way.. they should make it 1 year or less..
i totally agree. they should free up more names cos it is now very hard to get good names considersing that there are over 100mil users (i think). i think one year is reasonable.
A couple of my accounts are gone now >_> .. the ones I couldn't get on. AHHH, my old main account, I don't know email/pw/bday for it.. I haven't logged on in a LONG time, I'm pretty much screwed x_x
Does this take place on January 1st? Or does it just happen automatically when people haven't logged in for 2 years at the exact date that they logged in last? Because I have a someone friended who hasn't logged in for about 4 years and they're still showing up on my friends list...
i like that. there is a username that i have wanted for a long time that the person doesn't log into and they are at like a year and a half without logging in. i'll just watch it and get it when it gets deleted.
they deleted my account... i had a baby, mutant, faerie, and desert pet. then late at night i changed my pw cuz my sister said she would hack me and adopt those pets, i forgot my pw the next morning and didnt know my e-mail
i can do two years even if something happens and i stop playing for a while i usually come back within 1 yr at tops..... neopets is just so addicting :kiss: :kiss:
