i want to start making graphics. But i need photoshop do you have to buy this product to make graphics or is it free? If soo do you know a free program that will let me make graphics please and thank you -Softball
Click for link I don't know if that site looks trusty to you, but it does have the download. Or you could just check adobe.com. The real one costs quite much though, so I'd get another program or an illegal version.
You could always check out Paint.net, I use it and so do a lot of other people. Obviously it is not as good as Photoshop, but there are always new add-ons coming out and it does have a lot of effects and stuff.

Nonono Don't pay for Photoshop, its not nearly as good as The GIMP. GIMP is completely free and open-source as well. http://www.gimp.org/ GIMP has soooo many more features than Photoshop. It takes some getting used to if you are used to using Photoshop though. However, once you get the hang of the program, you can make some amazing graphics.
yeah i agree with the torrent comment, unless ur a business and need a legit version, just download it
I used utorrent as my torrent program and used torrentz.net for the torrent. Make sure you read the comments if there are any. They'll tell you if its a virus.
what program with a G lol... be a little more specific. They are usually virus free, but if you have a virus scanner, give it a scan before you use what you downloaded to be on the safe side, i dont, but you might want to. website i use to download is either http://www.isohunt.com or torrentspy if you dont know how to use torrents, you might want to google that first, but there isnt really much to it
GIMP is free and has a very good reputation, though I've never used it personally. I'm sure it's virus-free.
I would argue that Photoshop is easier to use then GIMP and the last time I used GIMP PS had more features, granted this was a few years ago. Do no buy photoshop, it Adobe deserves to go out of business. I've seen updates, i.e. photoshop 3 -> 4, cost like 300 dollars for littles to no useful changes just to keep the money rolling in. Also if you are going to illegally download it, do not do direct download sites, use torrents. Usenet being the one exception but most warrez type sites are a joke and never really link you to the download. Now do not use any American based torrent sites. Use 'thepiratebay.org' exclusively, unless they dont' have it, which is really rare. I know for a fact they will have the latest PS, CS3 I believe. Anyway you need a torrent client, I recomend uTorrent, smaller system footprint, lots of advanced features but you don't have to run them, and it allows for encrypted torrent traffic, VERY IMPORTANT for any torrent client.

GIMP itself is a respected program so no it should not have a virus BUT it depends on where you get it from as viruses can be written into or packed with legit programs so go do a wikipedia.org search for GIMP and find it's homepage or at least sorce board and go there to download at that point you are as safe as you can be getting something from the internet also you should run a virus scanner in the background at all times while no the net anyway so stuff that does get by you can be caught
