Hmm, so like all laptops, mine came with a mic and webcam.
But my problem is, when I use the mic, I don't like my laptop one cuz it goes whacky sometimes, so I use a plug in one {Not USB, it goes right into the input} but my laptop doesn't detect it to be there, and it would still pick up sound from the laptop's mic only.

Is there something I need to do to make it work? o_o
I tried going to the sound device in control panel to disable my laptop mic but yeah, everytime i say or record something, it would just tell me I have no mic.

x_x Hope someone can help. I really can't bother to turn on my desktop these days, and it runs slow as well so I wanna do everything on my laptop.

Are you sure you're plugging it into the mic jack and not the headphone jack? My sister struggled for hours trying to get a mic to work, then I found she had it in the output jack, because her input and outputs were on different sides of the laptop, and she didn't even know the input one was there

Try this, but make sure you install any software that might have come with the mic if there is any, then try to find drivers online, just search the product. Also, make sure you not only disable the built-in one but you select the plug-in mic.

No, it's in the right jack :p

Also, it never came with a software.

Actually, I realized, it DOES detect the mic, but it fxcks up. Like I talk into it for a second, and the quality of sound decreases. Blah.
