Question About Proxies

    Well, I am planning on trying some autobuyers and a couple of other neopet hacks, and I know that (naturally) Proxies are a big part of it all, the only problem is, I have NO idea how to use them.

    I've downloaded the firefox proxy "Foxy Proxy", but I have NO idea how to use it, or what Proxies to use.

    Could someone explain to me the basics of using proxies, how to work FoxyProxy, and what the best proxies to use are?

    A proxy server is a go-between for you (the client) receiving information from another server.


    Typically, it will alter the IP neopets sees you playing on, and hence lower the chance that TNT will ban your home IP, which, in itself is a relatively low chance :)

    You can find proxy lists everywhere: generally each proxy site updates daily to stay under the radar.

    To use them, you type them in your web browser, and Bob's your uncle!

    Generally proxies are in the form of 000.000.00.00 or 000.000.00:000, etc.


    Those are what you put in your browsers.

    I'm not familiar with foxyproxy, but I'm presuming it just gives you proxies or something.

    It's actually supposed to help you USE proxies, can you guys just give me an alternative way to use proxies on Fire Fox?

    im sorta intreasted in using proxies too
    but i have no idea how to use it and how to get it and all
    ill be waiting for an answer too

    If you want to just browse using a proxy, you can go to http://www.hidemyass.com/proxy/ and type in an address and click 'hidemyass'.

    If you want to use a program with a proxy to mask your IP, you need to have a program with proxy support. An example of this is BillyBuyer. The regular BillyBuyer for 100 cash does not have proxy support: BillyBuyer Pro has proxy support, but you need to pay Billy to give you it.
    From there, it should be pretty self-explanatory that you just test the proxy and the program will do the rest.

    A fantastic free proxy program that masks all outgoing internet activity from your computer is Tor. You can find it here; http://www.torproject.org/

    You should find ample instructions on how to set it up, how to use it, even information that will (indirectly) help you set up a proxy for Neopets programs, if you use those sort of things.
