So yes, the past 3 days, I left my laptop on to download The Sims 2 + Expansion. They installed fine with Daemon Tools, and then bam, it hit me that they have high protection against piracy so even with tools it tells me I need to insert a CD rom. I also burnt a copy of "Seasons!" expansion onto a DVD and it also won't work, it doesn't detect the CD and tells me to put in a CD. Now, here is the order I installed my games. The Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Holiday Party Pack, Open For Business, Family Fun Stuff, Glamor Life Stuff, Pets and finally Seasons. Here's my question now. I have installed all these games. But I was wondering WHICH game version of CD do I need to play The Sims 2 with expansion? Because I am thinking of just buying one copy of the game instead of blowing 20 bucks on each expansion so they all work. Do I have to buy The Sims 2 {The pack with 4 CDs} or the Seasons! Expansion, the expansion I installed last? Thanks for the help. Dying to play :/ {Shame on me for trying to get away with cheap asian priate ><} {P.S - The reason I asked is because before I installed Seasons, Pets was my last expansion and when I clicked The Sims 2, the original, it tells me I have the wrong version in there and that I need insert Pets.}
you dont need to buy any cd. when u dl it come with a crack that u replace in the Tsbin folder. You usually need to explore the cd to get the crack. Hope this helps

if you wanted to play you'll have to insert the current expansion pack u installed. with beats the purpose of DL.. BTW Sims 3 is coming out in Feb 2009 I soo cant wait
Yeah it works! I'm so happy =) Really? Sims 3? x_x My new laptop can barely run Sims 2 without it lagging when I start to put more things down on my lot. Hope it'll be better though! I played the Sims since I was very little

Wow you can navigate around the neighbourhood?? That's sweet. It's nice to see how people can look different now. But wouldn't that mean that we'll have to wait for years till there are some Sims 3 expansions?
