Wellllll... i abed Alllll weekend to the tune of abouuuut 2.5m on a fresh shell. Im starting a weekend abing gig, and know that some other ppl do this also. so i transferred out all the goods and ther safe on some other acct, but the question is what to do with my aber shell. itll most likely get frozen around 10 tomorrow, but will they chain ice if i leave it alive? shud i let it just sit and get frozen tomorrow and hope my other accts dont go down too? or shud i self freeze the sucker and thatll be the end of it. Please no opinions, tell me if you actually know the answer
This isn't an actually know the answer question, its all about opinion. Even if you self freeze they can still trace your accounts. So its kind of up to you. If you self freeze there is a small chance you can get your account back when the coast is clear. But if its frozen you'll never get it back.
ive purposely sacrificed the acct... it cost me 500k, and i made 2.5m in a weekend abing run... so i have no problem scrapping it, buying a new acct, scrapping that 1.... etc.. itll kill shells but id say its worth it. and btw, i self-froze, and since tnt usually duz its weekend freezage by 10am, im in the clear. In the end I decided to transfer my expensive abed items to a side on a separate IP, and i took the remaining "crappy" items (about 100k total value) and transferred this to a side on the same IP, diverting attention from the other 1 on the other IP. Im pretty sure this is a pretty good idea as if they freeze an acct that i sent items too, its likely to be the one on the same ip that recieved the ccrappy items, and likely the reciever of the good abed items will be ignored, dubbed as a normal player just making a trade...
I'm not much of a neopets player, but I would say that the smartest thing you could do was to start off by using different IP's on each accounts. And when it comes to the actual transfer, I would send 1/3 of the crappy items first, then the good items, and then the rest of the crappy ones. Not using the trading post, but sending each individual item via the regular way. If you make the list with crappy items long enough, TNT might not read through all the pages. Say you send 10 good items and 100 crap items. Let's assume that TNT has some kind of list on which they see your transfers, like the "recieved" list that show up when you recive an item. If so, TNT would read much of the long list, seeing items being sent to "crap account" and then scroll down to the end of the list and see items sent to "crap account". At least that's what I would have done. And if the same account has been sent the items at the beginning and the end of this list, I'd reckon that they would assume that all the items on the list had been sent to that account. It's just a theory, and it would be nice if someone who plays more frequently than me could try it out.
depends if u used proxies when logging in and how much NP is sittin on the account or if its been x-ferred but if its a 3 month+ shell maybe just wait and see if it gets iced on its own so u can still use the account for future abing if its not iced
i would self-freeze cause theres a chance they wont notice it especiallly when the pound is trying to be reopened
I had to make this same decision not too long ago, and I chose the self freeze route too. All of my sides and mains were safe in the morning, so it worked... sadly the account that I had to self freeze to protect my other accounts was ooolllldddd, and it was really hard to let it go.
