I like the way they look and i hear that they are fast...and i lik the leopard 10.5 os but should i buy a mac?
I personally like my mac laptop over my PC desktop. I find Macs yo be more simple and easy to use. Also not many people like to hack Macs >
The hacking is a plus. Macs are also good because they last longer (windows updates so often and sometimes its crap)
Windows is crap imo  I rather just build own and install Linux/firefox I don't really care about the new games that much lol
I dont think anyone should own a mac... Alienware is the only way to go! expensive, but such a beautiful piece of machinery *drool* you can fully customize them on their website. I saved a long time to get mine, but I dont think Ill ever own a different kind of computer
alien is awesome!!! i've always wanted one. I want to build my own computer, but macs are just so slick and smooth
Alienware is a type of computer made specifically for gaming, they are VERY expensive but if you know the hardware you can build your own for alot less. Plus, you can totally get what YOU want.
macs are the most powerful computers...they can go up tp 18gigs af ram!...but the one that im getting only has 2...and im going to play neo on this account.
Well 64-bit vista can handle 128 GB of ram so ... If ram is what your looking for then buy vista and a decent motherboard to handle that much ram except Ram don't say anything I personally can't tell the different between 2 and 4. The power doesn't come from the ram alone. Im not bashing macs Just ram don't make the only difference.
Well i had an hp and that was my main computer and it broke...so now im using this crappy computer with 200mb of ram...lol
I think it would have to be 256 MB of ram but yea that is not very much. If the video card in it is not bad I would just buy two sticks on one and just use that computer. lol would save you what? 400-1000s. But if its a really bad computer beside the ram then a new one would be perfect
I bought a macbook... and I am VERY happy with it.. I'm running windows xp pro on it along with leopard.
It all comes down to what you want to do with your computer and how you are willing to learn/work with it. Play most current games with little effort/emulation: PC, cheaper route custom build. I suggest: http://www.newegg.com - computer parts http://www.zipzoomfly.com - computer parts http://www.tomshardware.com - benchmarking Web surfing with security: PC with Ubuntu or XP + Firefox NoScript and such addons Music editing, video editing: Mac (not the book) Portability: Laptop, the kind doesn't really matter, I don't suggest going smaller then 15inch screen. cramped small components = shorter life span Only use Linux if you don't play games or want to use the latest proprietary software, unless you really know your stuff. Linux is good if you really want to control your computer and every aspect of your hardware/software/online experience. There will be little support, excluding other helpful users, little out of the box action, but getting better, and very little native programs...that everyone else is using. Apple cost more for little to no gain due to locked in hardware. The only reason I see to use a Mac over a PC now is because of certain specific software that will run native under a Mac and not a PC. Emulating video editing software is kinda pointless. Unless you spend 90% of your time on the road don't buy a laptop as your sole computer. Get the desktop first. Learn how assemble your own parts. Read about specs and benchmarks and keep a look out for great deals when everyone is jumping on the bandwagon for newer but useless tech...like DX10 video cards. Don't buy Vista...just don't. If you are informed enough to argue pro Vista but are still buying it, I just don't want to know why. Don't blow your wad on a hugely expensive prebuilt system *cough* Alienware *cough* unless money is like unto toilet paper. Really, in 6months I can get better specs for 1/3 the cost. Don't buy the lastest tech, it's hugely over inflated in price. Looks don't matter. Really 80% of the time no one will see what it looks like anyway. Get what works well, is stable and financially efficient. Some examples: SLI in most cases is a no. Dual core for a single monitor full screen game player is a no. DX10 is still pretty much a no.
eeew at macs, just my opinion. true less virus and hacks, but those will come as they get more popular, and SW selection stinks and is more expensive
