So my pet rats are acting weird...

    I have two rats and I've had them for about a week now. They have a wire cage and whenever I walk into the room, they climb to the top of the cage and wait there... Just wait. Their cage is on the floor and the door to the cage is at the top so I'm guessing that means they want to get out? Can a rat psychologist tell me why they do this?

    they just want attention

    my friends have 2 rats and if someone comes near they'll run up to the top and wait there

    they'll realize after a while that you aren't coming and probably stop caring as much when people walk in a room

    rats are actually very smart :)

    If you want them to keep loving you then show them attention when you walk into the room :)

    I want a few rats.. but the missus would kill me.

    She wants a damn bunny... a tiny ass one.. I say if she brings a bunny home, Imma let it out in the backyard. Dog Vs. Bunny. Go my baby goo!

    Hide them like I have to. Rats are amazing. Get two or three dumbo rats. :D

    Haha, you should teach them to play basketball. My aunt had a friend that had 4-5 of them that could all play basketball with a little ball. lol!

    Sure, they have sort of cute faces. Their tails are an atrocity though. Can you trade them in for hamsters? I'd be more comfortable if I knew you had cuter rodents. Think about it.

    hamsters are actually much dirtier and disease ridden rodents than rats are, rats are quite clean and awesome!
