hey i was wondering if anyone knew how to fix sounds on a pc?? i was just given a new pc built from parts and it has no sounds at all and whenever i try to play something such as music and such i get a popup that says "Bad DirectSound Driver. Please install proper drivers or select another device in configuration." then when i try to fix it by going to Start> All Programs> Accessories> Entertainment> Volume Control i get another popup that says "There are no active mixer devices avaliable. To install mixer devices, go to control panel, click printer and other hardware, and the click add hardware." i tried fixing it by running {services.msc} but it still doesnt work so can anyone please help me fix this problem?
everything has been install and the problems fixed already seems like there was just a corrupted file maybe we reinstalled it about 4 times and it works now heh
no we just finish building the pc so nothing was deleted we installed xp and it just didnt have sound for some reason but now it does so problem solved =)
