ok i have avg from grisoft & it said i have trojan so it said heal items? i clicked yes. nothing seemed to happen from wat i could tell. then i manually ran the virus program after closing all running applicants. it said it found & healed them. i turned the pc on the next day & it said virus found so i pressed c to continue & ran the program again & it said it did NOT find any viruses. it continue to tell me i have trojan but when i run the program to get rid of it it tells me nothing is found? plz tell me wats goin on cuz i know i have somethin cuz my pc keeps freakin out. also i get this thing that says avg will expire january 11 or somethin i dont rember the exact date, it wants me to upgrade but the upgrade is NOT free. how do i keep avg & keep it free or should i get a diff virrus protection? ive tried a few & they didnt work well so id like to keep avg if possible but right now i dunno if its working or if the trojan im up against is too powerful 4 the avg? any ideas? :?:

Download Spybot-Search and Destroy. Also download this: http://www.adaware-antispyware.com/FreeAdAware/ Its an AWESOME virus, adware, and spyware scanner.
And if you must, i'm pretty sure there was a norton free trial out there somewhere (yahoo I think...) If the others fail, Norton should work
Defently. When i get a virus, those are my first 2 scanners. I have about 5 or 6 spyware/adware/virus scanners on my computer. Also, i wish the AVG thing didn't expire :cry: I wonder if I cna find a serial code for it off teh interweb?
I just paid when my AVG expired...I don't remember how much it cost though...$20 I think? But it wasn't an absurd amount or else I wouldn't have paid.
its a virus protection program i was once told the free ones work just as well. however im havin a prob finding 1 that works 4 me. also cant afford to buy a program & wat if it works just as bad & in the mean time im out the money? not from my experiance there not. i had to get avg to get rid of wat those 2 didnt detect. :roll: ive looked & from wat i could find u had to pay 4 them.
My school has that problem those computers never work right. If you have any idea were the program is or what it is named look for it on windows explorer
Freeware isnt that reliable, besides AVG is gonna cost money by january 15 so either pay or dont use.
Some people have been posting that some of the abers show up as trojans on their virus scan. I think it was the super aber i dont remember, if thats the case then you really dont have a problem but it might not be so who knows.
