My current Anti-Virus program has expired. I was wondering what would be the best ones to get (and that are free if possible). Any help is very much appreciated.
ZoneAlarm! It's like $60 a year but, you can torrent it too. AMAZING. I never have to worry about anything.
And now comes the stupid question! How do I torrent this? I have never done anything like it before so am totally unsure about what I need to do.
Meh, I use bittorrent but I've never tried anything else. Then download WinRAR Then use sites like piratebay.org or torrentspy.com or mininova.org OMFG I just checked and torrentspy has been shut down.
I would say Bitdefender... Just download the patch program... to patch it and then register a serial for a keygen...
Trust me, the BEST ANTIVIRUS is Avg Free Edition. download.com should have it still. As for spyware/amlware fighting, stick with the original Ad Aware Free Edition. I tryed countless antivirus before AVG but to no avail. Daily updates, schdeuled scans, AVG has everything. :tehe: (wow that sounded like a commercial :maha: )
i dled avast for free and haven't had any problems, but antivirus programs def aren't my area of expertise. i also have ad-aware.
don't go freeware antivirus, there are too many fakes AVG free is legit but only 40% effective versus 60 to 80% of most good antivirus programs...yes even the best program only catches near 80 to 90% of the crap out there get yourself firefox, noscript, noflash, adblock, don't be stupid = 99% of all problems do not use adaware anylonger it's days of grace are gone, spybot search and destroy is still pretty nice but the grand daddy is...gahI can't think of the name and i ahven't had to use it in a while, it's a program that list every process and you simply show it on the forum and guys in the know tell you what looks off, it really is the best for detecting rootkits and such Kapersky AVG Nod32 are all solid as of the begining of this year for free stuff look up trendmicro housecall and AVG's rootkit finder Utorrent has a better footprint and has the same function as any torrent program, azurus is a bloatware crap program now
personally, i don't really think you need virus programs. i think its a bunch of bs. i know people wihth tons of of virus protection programs who still have gotten viruses. I myself have only once ever gotten a virus, in the 8 years... so really, i think either way is fine, but if you want some, just torrent them paying is pointless, as like i said, i think it all just a bunch of bs anyways
I personally feel Kaspersky is working well for me. No virus attacks whatsoever. If you torrent it, the only downside is.. The key have to be changed once every few months because of the blacklisting of the keys. Other than that, it's good to go. Another anti virus that i heard was pretty good is Avira's. Maybe its worth a try?
i use antivar.. its completely free no cracks to dl. no trial period avira anitvar is the compete name
