So recently I got a new laptop with windows vista, and I'm having loads of trouble connecting to things, such as p2p programs and online games... I have completely disabled the firewall (windows firewall and norton) and UAC and still nothing... Anyone got any ideas?

Same here, just bought a new laptop with Vista like a month ago. However, I'm not having any problems so far. I can still use limewire and bitcomet and online games. I don't have to close my firewall either.
...I wish I could help but I don't know much about computers =S

Arg, it's gotten worse now, I can connect to MSN but nothing else >.<

    IE won't work D=

I think it's more to do with this Acer crap I have on it than vista... Anyone else use acer?

Almost everyone says Vista has problems. I've never had any since I got it 5 months ago.
My P2P stuff works fine, and I run most of my old progrrams on it too.
I use Vista Ultimate, if that help :arf:

Vista has too much interference with other software. I have the similar problem with my new laptop. just change back to XP.

Vista only really works if you have over 2 GB ram, as far as I know.

    I still use XP.

 No I have 512 MB RAM, and I've been using Vista for 6 months, it works perfectly. Sorry, but I have no solutions to your problems.
