What are the main points of neopets?

I keep wondering what can you spend your nps on thats worth something? I keep wondering what this lab ray thing is that my friends keep talking about and could someone explain to me other things I can spend my nps on that is worth something?

 

Buy good battledome weapons
There fun and you generaly make proffit from them when you sell them.

 

Play with your pets. get it items you like. collect
items you like and save nps... just make time go by.

 

i play neopets for the battledome. its so fun

 

The lab ray can do anything to your neopet-from nothing at all to reducing it to a pile of ash!

 

You can spend your neopoints on many different things, toys for your pets, food for your pets, paint brushes to change your pet's color -- the list goes on.
The lab ray is something that you can use to "zap" your pets. It can change color, species, change their stats, and it can even change their gender!​

Well the petpet lab can turn your petpet into ash but I'm not sure if the secret laboratory can do that to your pet... but it can do a number of amazing things such as species, gender, colour (including robot) stat change/

Like everyone else says: You could battle, paint all your pets crazy colors, collect things in galleries;
There's lots to do with big $$$

Wait, if your pet's stats are really high can the lab ray zap it down to nothing? :|

earn nps is the only reason for me to play neopet.

you can use the shop wiz to buy weapons.
What weapon to buy? try searching weapons on the battlepedia.

go shops> battledome > battlepedia

heh.. well... for me it is to make an incredible amount of neopoints (not happening)... make an amazing neohome (also not happening)... and train my pets really well and make them really clever etc. (believe it or not... also not happening),
