It's been down for maintenance for a couple weeks now. What are your theories about what's going on there?
they are probably trying to make it harder to transfer pets. or making it harder to autoadopt rare pets with programs. maybe also cleaning out the massive amounts of spam pets that are in there.
yes thats true. i supose we cant autoadop pets again, or meaby, the speed link or something like that. :?
I bet they're gonna get rid of the pets that no one would take with horrible names. Then they might also make it more accesible to find pets you would actually want.
They can't delete ugly named neopets. Thats neopet ethnic cleansing! I doubt TNT want that headline xD
As far as I know, they closed it because of the Customization (see editorial). According to one of my neofriends, when you pounded a pet, the clothes stayed on it- but another set stayed in your inventory. People were adopting and repounding pets like crazy to dupe the clothes and sell them. TNT had to close the pound to stop it. This is all second-hand info, I wasn't there, so don't take my word for it.
partially of customization but also probey for programs. TNT will never say besides in the rules and a warning that to not to do illegit things. They will not say that is is closed because of programers and pet sellers. Then some people will here that and he way that is sounds only a few are getting iced so why won't I try it. They will not say the are workign with the shops to held end autobuyers they will probley say nothing at all about it or make up a lame escuse. If they openly adminted a problem with it then it sounds like you can get away with it and so I may try and do that
Neopets deleted my old unused account. When I tried to claim it back initially, they said it was unused for too long and now they deleted it -.- Anyway. back to topic. I hope TNT would return all the rare pets that was in the pound to their owners because not many knew that the pound was down. (i'm not a victim of it but i don't want to see noobs adopting the painted pet. ahah)
probably so you cant transfer your main pets from your other accounts? idk im curious too. im pretty sure most people dont use the adoption agency anyways lol
as part of the customization, they are also working on redrawing the neopets faces for expressions, they are pretty sure the pound will be up soon. i have a coconut avatar in waiting on a side.
No there is no other way to transfer pets as it's not really an intended function. Wish they would allow you to directly transfer pets and just stop worrying about pets being sold. Not like it doesn't happen anyway. Like long inspection lines in the air port versus 911. I'm so sick of useless preventative measures that only hurt the legit players.
