What was it that made you start auto buying...

What's your story

Revenge? Curiosity? Greed?

Here is my story about how I started autobuying and then ended up here

After 4 years of legit neopets playing I was still very lazy at playing the games.

I had always heard of autobuyers, but never really held any interest.

Untill I decided I wanted a draik... I wanted a draik and I couldn't get enough NPs... I pondered the autobuying idea for about a week finally deciding I didn't want to get iced.

I tried getting more nps. I even made it to 1.5 mil legit. (aside from all the other wonderful things on my old account)

But I gave up and googled ABers.

I downloaded one first. And it worked great I ran it for 3 days straight on the weekend. And then My computer picked up a key logger! Stupid ABer was infected. So I removed it from my system but it was too late. And I got too greedy. My account was frozen when I returned home from work

So wanting revenge on neopets... I came here

i found this site just to prove to my friend that i could find an ABer if i wanted to...then a week later TNT iced my completely legit account for no reason...so i started abing, i wasnt gonna waste all that time to get to where i was before

 

all of the above, revenge, greed and curiosity lol and because its an easy way to make np

Well, as i don't have an autobuyer. I can only give reasons for why I don't use one

I have a fantastic legit account, and I was drawn to neofriends out of morbid curiosity just to find out what exactly autobuyers can do. If my accoun gets frozen than i am likely to turn to autobuyers, mainly because it would make the game more interesting

But perhaps out of fear for my really nice account. I don't ab. Coming to this forum is mainly preperation incase the worst should happen

 

I have an Abuyer but I dont use it.

I used to just to get enough NP to buy accounts XD.

 

I got unfairly frozen two times and lost all my neopoints.
I'll AB to the day I've gotten equally strong and painted pets and the same ammount of nps I had on both accounts.
I'll probably continue after that, but that's my strategy at the moment

 

Every time I try to Autobuy I can never get anything because I go for the things that are too rare XD.

 

Revenge. TNT made me angry enough by freezing my legit account for cheating (dno where that came out yet) so I just want everything I got again.

 

I must say that one of the reasons for me to start auto buying is greed, since I don't have much time to be restocking 'cause of school etc and I do want a couple more nps an auto buyer looks like a reasonable experience x)...but curiosity has also a big part on it...

 

I started autobuying cuz i was spending too much time on neopets, now its a good balance of abing and trading

 

So you still spend much time on neopets then

 

mostly because my friends were like "you'll get frozen, dont do it!" and i wanted to prove them wrong so yeah =]

 

mainly because TNT decided to ice my beautiful legit account [which would be 5 years old this year]...
so, gave up on neo for a while, then, started hearing about ABers. was interested. spent ages looking for one. eventually found one. never looked back.

 

I started because I was just intrigued by them
After 2 days I got bored and stopped using them, if I can find an auto-haggler though, then I would be tempted to use that instead...

 

I would have to say that for me, it was mostly curiosity. I've only used an ABer two or three times because I REALLY don't want to get my account frozen. It's pretty old and I've just come too far with it to start all over at the beginning.

However, reading this thread and seeing how many people have posted that they were unfairly iced makes me wonder if it even matters what I do. :?

and seeing my friends who pwn at restocking making few hundred k a day.. when i could only manage 100k/month with my legit way. :?

but i still dont dare to risk my main acc... :? so i mainly just use igloo

 

I don't autobuy yet but my reason for wanting to do it is because rank. I hate being poor.

 

lol this is my problem too!!! I don't like being bothered with the little things... So I only put rare big profit items into my list... I dont get things often.. but when I do... they are worth it

Like you punkeydew, I wanted a Draik, a Royal paint brush all those sort of things and make like 5K a day on the boring games, so I turned to RSing, I couldn't get ANYTHING worth it, the ABers beat me every time. And if you can't beat them...join them
