Can you not see the homepage anymore? Or is it just that if you try to log in to an account, etc., they won't let you? Because I always assumed that you just wouldn't be able to access Neo at all anymore. But now I've been trying to log on to an account of mine, just tried again with a proxy (same pass both times) and it worked fine.
When you're IP banned, you just can't login. You can see the homepage and stuff. Right after you enter in your password, you will simply be redirected to the homepage without being logged in.
Hmm. I'm not getting redirected to the homepage; it just says that it's a bad password, though I just tried accessing multiple accounts off different proxies using the same passwords and they're fine. =/
When I was IP banned, I could type in my password but then they would tell me it was incorrect even though it wasn't. D:
IP ban? i thought it was only account ban, you see the login, then the pw page, then when you type the ight pass, it shows a gray and red box with the reason you were banned.
That's exactly what the problem I'm having now is. And LightTiger, that's just getting an account frozen in general. All of us know what that's like. XD I'm just asking about IP banning b/c I've never been IP banned before, and I'm trying to figure out what's going on. lol: at the fact this is even happening, though.)

x.x Would it kill you to at least read other people's posts and try to understand what is going on before you try to add a few more posts to your post count with one-liners? Getting frozen and getting IP banned are two different things. I'd wager that pretty much everyone here has gotten frozen before. We all know what that's like. You type in your username, pass, etc., and get a box saying WARNING! This account has been frozen for __________. That is freezing. Being IP banned should be self explanatory. If you're frozen, you don't necessarily get IP banned. I made this board because I'd never been IP banned before, suspected I was, and wanted confirmation. If it "doesn't happen to" you, good for you. Thanks so much for your contribution.
Actually, getting IP ban usually is a result from getting a chain-ice (accounts in IP frozen) or getting too many accounts frozen on the same IP. What happens for me during an IP ban (in the US) is: Able to login to frozen accounts -- giving you the reason for ice Good accounts are not allowed to be logged into -- will say your password is incorrect If you cannot visit Neopets.com, either it is down for maintenance, or your have received a packet ban!

Not that bad. As long as you have neighbores with internet it's fine. + You always have proxies/tor, right? I've been IP banned twice, and its not that bad at all ^^ People over exagerate it.
I dont get it. On what circumstance do they ip ban an user? When they use aber? Or when they do online abuse?
When a/multiple user(s) continuously get banned(either for abing,cheating ,scamming etc..) from a single ip..Then that ip gets banned..(you cant access neopets accounts from that ip).. Its like the extreme step neopets take to avert cheaters!!!
