let's all meet here on Mackinac Island. Mmmkay? It's here: I've got it posted on a US map too, but that image is huge: Spoiler It doesn't have to be zombies... it can be any kind of world-shattering apocalypse. Mackinac Island is the perfect place though... small, and it's got a freaking fort on it! (granted, an old one that's now a museum, but it's a fort none the less). And there's a hotel (the Grand Hotel) and horses and such... It's really a lovely place to be, even in a post-apocalyptic world I figure it'd be nice. <3

no, it's saltwater. You can't drink saltwater. And besides, Mackinac Island is small and easy to manage, defense wise, and within a few miles of shorelines (easily reachable by small boat). :yup: and it's pretty too: and the grand hotel is absolutely huge! Still want to go to Maldives?
