Ps3 = call of duty 4, so theres really no contest. wii is cool at first but the lack of good games is its downfall

Lawl, if you want to play CoD you use your computer. Its a crime to play any FPS on a console, semi-auto aim, due to joy sticks = no skill. Its same thing for the Xbox, the reason windows doesn't allow Computer players and console users together on Halo, is they would get smashed by the computer players 99 out of 100 since 'WASD' and Mouse skill > controller auto-aim.

So it truly is no contest Wii over PS3, the replay value of the Wii games are overwhelming. Only reason PS3 is still selling and regaining steam is because of BlueRay lawl....

Wii is more family oriented. Has many good group games that are very repayable.

PS3 has much better graphics. Allows you to watch blue ray movies. Some great titles coming out in the future.

Personally I wouldn't buy the PS3 anytime soon even though I like it better then the Wii atm and I would buy a Wii now; go figure.

If you're the kind of person to buy an iPhone I'd just say get the PS3 now.

Noooo that's a big lie, and the biggest cliché on the Wii atm.

Sure the Wii is still not very within the FPS or RTS genres, for instance, but that is just a matter of time. People associated the Wii with casual gamers at first because of the controllers, and the game exported with the console (Wii Sports). Though I guarantee you: most wii games out there now don't fully use the motion system. It's like the DS. The touch screen is a neat addition, but they won't spam features onto it just because it's part of the console.

Unlike on the release of the console, there's many third parties producing games for the Wii now. There's a lot more choice without being a game from Nintendo. And there's good games in this group, aswell, as there is great games on the first party plan.

I mean, come on people, casual gaming Wii is disappearing faster and faster. That was a problem of the past. Now there're a whole more choices for those hardcore.

And if you don't believe, check out these games, along with its genre and ratings average of some game sites:

    First Party

Super Smash Bros. Brawl (3D Fighting) - 9.5
Super Mario Galaxy (Platforming) - 9.7
    Metroid Prime 3 (S-FFPS) - 9.0
Super Paper Mario (Platoforming) - 8.5
Mario Strikers Charged Football (Football) - 7.9
Mario Kart Wii, which has only been reviewed by 2 reviewrs but - 9.3
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (Turn-Basted Strategy) - 7.9

    Third Party

Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros Treasure (Puzzle-Adventure) - 8.6
No More Heroes (Hack 'n' slashing action) - 8.3
Mercury Meltdown Revolution (Puzzle) - 8.3
    Bully: Scolarship Edition (Action-Adventure) - 8.4
Medal of Honor Heroes 2 (FPS) - 8.0
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Music) - 8.6

And I could go on and on adding more games here, but as you can see, there's plenty enough of genres and great games to choose from. Buying a Wii is not a "I'm a casual gamer" statement, in fact, there's loads more games which aim to the hardcore players than you think.
Plus, with the Virtual Console, you can buy old titles for mere 5 bucks and, if you don't have credit card, you can just go to your local store and buy a code card which will let you claim the points instantly when you submit it, so then you can buy your games on the VC.

At the moment the Wii is definitely more popular since it has much more appealing games than the PS3.

*sigh* unfortunately the majority of the gaming market feels the same way

I long for the day of some other then shootum, raceum and sportum games without a plot to be seen.

AC while have some awesome dynamics, in 3d anyway 2d games have had this for a long while, is hardly much more then an a hack and slash...entertaining as it is.
