My old laptop (a sony) broke over the summer, and until I get a new one, I'm borrowing my sister's old mac powerbook. I'd really like to download some programs that I used to have on my old computer, but most of them are made only for windows- i.e. a .exe file or something similar. The same goes for the programs on neofriends- they require the windows .net framework, which obviously isn't working on my mac. does anyone know of any way to be able to run things like .exe on a mac? or should i just beg my dad for a pc soon?

There's a software known as parallax which allow you to switch between the OS(mac and windows) without rebooting. Bootcamp needs rebooting but only operates one OS at a time.

Thanks, blitz. Do you happen to know a link to that program? I can't seem to locate it when I google.

You can use Boot Camp to install XP (the CD has to be SP2).

Thanks, chanran, but i'm looking for something that doesn't force you to reboot each time, just for ease.

You can use virtual PC as well. I know it runs on osX, not sure about other versions though. Also you'll need to load XP after virtual PC
