You probably need more RAM 256 isnt enough these days. Also you probably have to manny things running at the startup.

yea you could add more ram or upgrade your processor which is a little more involved. Contact your manufactures support to get the right stuff and I am sure they would have suggestions

Upgrading RAM isn't hard also Ashampoo stops wierd programs that you don't want them to run at startup not run, this helps speed stuff up!

Easy step to stop programs from starting when you boot your computer:

    -Shortcut: "Windows Logo" + R
-Type "msconfig" (without the "" !duh!)
-in the start tab (last one), here's the list of prog. Uncheck the one that you don't want to start automatically. Apply and restart windows.

That should help a bit !

You can also free up a bit of RAM by going into Control panel, going into System, then go to Advanced > Performance and change it to "Change Windows for best Performance". See if that helps!

Have you tried de-fraging the computer?

It usually helps mine. Though, I would delete all the temp internet files, cookies and whatnot, you can do that easily by going

    System Clean-Up

    Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> System Clean-up.

    De-Frag

    Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> Disk Defragmentor

To Clean-up first, and de-fraging can take quite a while, so be sure you have spare time. =P

Get more RAM; it's cheap. I've got a gig and room for another gig. It's worth it.
