So fairly recently I've been getting into speedrunning. Watching streams, learning games, etc. Been doing SM64 16 star runs because I'm garb and Pokemon Blue and Pokemon Fire red. Is anyone in this community into speedruns or am I alone here? I know that it's becoming more popular so who knows. Below is a run of mine from the other night. So is speed running trying to beat a game as fast as possible? We used to do that with super mario back when it first came out for super Nintendo. haha
Ahahaha. Yes Master, speedrunning is playing a game to beat it as fast as possible by any means necessary, usually by exploiting glitches and whatnot. Junior, super mario bros 3 is for nes, not snes lmao. I used to try running it, never really learned much past the beginning of world 8. I might learn Paper Mario, but its like a 4-5 hour run. Good game though, so we'll see. Also kinda related, just crushed my old sm64 pb by over a minute, 21:15 for a 16 star run. Super excited.
NES SNES... they all blend aftera while I've got both still If only there was a way to speed run this damn assassins creed game T_T. Glitches come at me...
I'm a little nervous about typing "strats" into google because thats the name of a local strip joint where I live Can you elaborate on that? I've just finished Assassins Creed 2 anyway - And I'm investing in XPloder to assist me get those last few trophies that I'm waaaaaay to lazy to go back and get I do need to start Brotherhood though - so what is this strats?

Cosmo is a cool dude pie is alright I've improved my tony hawk world record a bunch, got it down to 5:31. And playing more SM64 lately. Probably going to learn a new game soon, but idk what I want to play lmfao.
Speedrun on the original Super Mario Brothers! It goes so fast and when you actually beat the last levels in a speedrun its a good feeling lol. I was real addicted to that for a while.
I speedrun through the Spyro PS1 games, PS2 Ratchet & Clank, PS2 Sly Cooper (1,2,3), and on occasion PS1 Crash Bandicoot <3 My ps2 is packed somewhere right now :c
Super Metroid speedruns are getting so crazy, not even playing the game, but just going through walls. It's possible to finish in 12 minutes, check out CpAdolf0's speedrun on youtube
