yea about as leet as the guy who comes to the shooting range with cammo and fingerless gloves trying to be all operator...*giggle*, anyone who knows his stuff will laugh at a man using Alienware without any other knowledge and SLI is as much a joke as quadcore cpus...they don't scale well for the price...and there's a point where it's not even useful but just stupid...but hey computers are like all other products now; infested with viral marketing and too little fact
You're completely right about the SLI I'll take only one graphic card but I work with programs of audio/video encoding, optimized for 64 bits and multi-cores, so I recently bought a Q6600... I think that is a great CPU but only if used with optimized programs. And lol @marketing... I saw a computer with 4gb RAM, E8200 and... x300 as a graphic card... And the seller told me that the graphic performance were excellent and marvellous... Maybe on PacMan lol
Dont evern bother with them, i just bought i new computer, for 1.5k, you can get a kick arse rig, 4gb ram, 8800gts+ gpu, quadcore+cpu... Dont buy a com from dell, allienware, harvey norman, any where... go to a computer shop to buy a system
ati drivers blow chunks spoken as a 1950xtx user I don't think I'll buy another ati card and early adoption is a bad idea go with the 8800 family atm for the best performance vs price
Yes, i know they sucks But as they created a great card (they 4850) maybe they will release new drivers and lol, the new series of GX 2x0 is way too expensive... Here, in Europe, the average price is 500€ O_O
been reading some reviews and I agree the new ati's are a much better deal then nvidia's option but I doubt the new drivers will be any better, expect hours of getting it to work 'right'
Don't buy Alienware!!! I recently upgraded my computer lol... Alienware seems like a good deal but they give sub-par parts Bought a AMD Athlon 6400+ Black and (2) EVGA 8800 640 GDDR3 from craiglist for only $250
