From my own experience with Neopets, the two most profitable ways to earn points [legitimately] is restocking and the stock market. These may not be the fastest or the easiest methods, but they work. Most people who have tons of points are either really good at restocking and/or have a lot invested in stocks. I don't think there's really any way to get rich quick legitimately. It takes time and patience mostly. Doing sponsor links is a good idea, though. It will take time to accumulate, but it doesn't take very much effort. My advice would be to set a goal amount for yourself to earn each day. This will take time as well, but it gives you a better sense of accomplishment.
The stock market is a long term investment. I have the same problem of not reaching a certain neopoint limit, which is 2 mil. I keep spending it! I have over a mil in stocks and exactly one mil in the bank. I use the stocks to keep my monies safe.
sometimes i make well over 300,000 a day with igloo but its still pretty slow. because some days i dont get squat and when i get suspendd and i cant restock my shop i come back and my shop is completley empty. its pretty annoying cause i like the feeling of a full shop.
