Yes you're right But what's the point of buying a Mac? It's good only for video/photo editing Except from that, it's too expensive and is way too much powerfull for general purpose and not powerfull enough for gaming (because most of the time they do have crappy graphic cards)
Its not hard to convert to mac, the OS is far more powerful and efficient. For every windows program there is a better mac equivalent. So I say definately go for the mac
dual boot is not a feature...hardware is pretty generic; nowdays anyway, who dual boots a 'pc' for a Mac, there's your answer (just to be clear I'm agreeing with you in my reply) sound editing as well but that's because the software is on a mac not because macs are special at all and you can do anything with a mac you can do with a pc it'll just cost you 2x to 3x as much hardware wise...so why? for a shiny case??? please don't, that's utter fanboi ism...even if there is some truth in there *cough* vista sucks *cough*
as i am buying a new laptop i can say i am getting a PC because in the corporate world no one (i am aware of besides apple) but up untill apple started doing a lot more i bet they even used PCs for thier business seriously apple is fruit and pc is totally want all buissness people use so bottom line, fruit or a FUTURE! the choice is yours young padawan
I have no idea which has better programs or is faster or safer. I always go for the looks, which means Apple wins. Daddy's going to buy me my own Apple when schools start again! I can't wait.
Well, I'm a windows operated laptop but then, there are great software that apple offers which I really one to have day. Well, its not a problem anymore because now you can have a dual boot on apple laptops because of switching to intel base processor. Just browse the net for information about dual boot.
if you care about function get a windows laptop. it is much easier to find programs for windows than it is for mac. if your just going for aesthetics, get a mac because they look much cooler and have better graphics.
IF $$$ isnt a factor in your opinion, get Apple. I love how apples look. Pc's i find are rather chunky. I'm considering getting an apple myself, just need to save up a a couple months worth of pay. LOL.
I always had it in my head that apple was for work like when you need to use different programs like when your in a serious buisness such as sound editing. PC is for general and you can use it for all.
Macs are SOOOOO slow......brand new are still slow and windows are waaaaay faster. For 1000 you can get an incredible windows or a slow thin mac......

Aye, seems like everyone but Zer0 forgot to the linux hardware/software. Seriously, look for anything Linux based, it's almost always a win win situation. It seems they are the gold at the end of the rainbow, and windows is the rainbow. In this figure of speech, dont stop at the rainbow but follow it to the gold. Haha, my meds still havent worn off.
