I would get your self a top of the range mine cost me a few grand and is well worth it, i am using a avio the one used in the recent james bond movie
Yes the UX series is, i think things can only get better from this company as long as they keep produceing top quality computing componants as they are at the moment.
It really depends on what your specific needs are. Do you need a long battery time, or are you going to be moving around with it alot and need a lighter weight laptop. You need to factor in the details. As far as general laptops go, I would actually not recommend sony personally because I have a bad experience with them, but many of my friends will swear by them, so just do research.
thats the one i have, but i asked for certain upgrades to it. its an amazing machine. also the only probs i ever had with it was with norton, but i have finaly managed to delete all that can be deleted of it, and its now working as i want it, norton is such a bother, especially when connecting xbox 360 to it
i use sony vaio too.. never used others but i think mine is pretty good  and.. dont get vista.. its insanely tight security makes it impossible to play certain games.
thanx for the heads up no vista i think i might get 2000 its never gave me many problems but also might getxp
I wouldn't suggest a laptop if you are going to play games that take up the whole screen. From my expierience, laptop screens tend to have a slight glare, which makes fullscreen games hard to look at.
