I think it will be good if petunia is right and you still need a paintbrush to obtain the clothes, at least it may make some use of the rubbish clothing items that are currently rotting around the site :S
its.... just such an AWFUL idea. :shock: probably theyre doing this in the hopes to attract more little children to the site.. because they buy the most merchandise? eww :evil:
I always wondered what the point of the clothes were if we couldn't use them on our pets, besides being a collector's item. This could actually make clothing prices go up. Hmm... maybe we should stock up on clothes.
Hm the idea of having the paint brush to get certain outfits and such is probably right. I dressed my pet but It doesnt show like that on the lookup and stuff. It should, or they should make it to do that
If they do make it so that you can choose outfits, I am sure you will not be able to sell them to other Neopians. I am also doubt that they would let you equip the clothes items that are around the site. I still think it is a terrible idea though.
I thought it was rather nifty as I had always wanted to see my pet with its battledome gear on. A lot of people are angry with it though..could be because the changes dont show up on your lookup (disappointment)
I really don;t like this idea, the re-drawings are terrible and I don't like what it could be once the final is released.
I think this is a great idea. First of all, clothes will finally be usable and therefore the prices will escalate. And second, this will keep new players on neopets longer. And especially the younger ones. The more players, the better for the neopian economy. I'd like to see more of these kind of things, actual content to the site rather than just plots that are temporary. =) Of course it needs improvement, but this is just the Beta. I just hope they don't redraw the pets as much as they've currently been, otherwise people who already has painted theirs will suffer. =/
On the customise page it says: "The only place you will be able to see your customised Neopet during Beta is in this application and on the Quick Reference page". If the wording means what I think it means, then (hopefully) when it's out of Beta, we'll be able to see the changes on our lookups and such, as well as it being visible to others. Otherwise, I think the feature would be kind of pointless. :?
i don't like it, i think they should release more pb's or something, on the other hand though, it would be cool if you could like see their pet while in their neohome or something, but in general, if they change the pet on userlookups, it defeats the whole baintbrush idea
