Actually, on thing like AreS and bittorrents, my dialup connection at my mothers, goes from a normal 4KB/sec. to around 15KB/sec.. lol I know it doesn't seem like much, but that's a huge improvement on dialup, so it should work good with a lower cable/dsl connection speed. Also depends on how many Seeds.
the only bad thing about torrents is that most things on torrent sites are pirated. i was just on a torrent site and those people have no respect for copyrights
This is true, like 70% of the internet is pirated nowadays though, and I don't see anything going on about it really...
ok, i found a legal, big torrent that is good but i am only getting like 3 peers and 1 kbs. can anyone help me?
right now i have 4 peers and 3 seeds and 0 kbs on the torrent site it said that there were 150 peers though so i wonder whats wrong. Edit: lol it says that i have 35 days left
Maybe the site isn't updated much, or isn't on auto-update? Either that, or you're not connecting correctly to them..
do you think that i should download a different software than bit torrent. also i dont know if you saw before but my download has 40 days left. lol
how is bitlord? i just downloaded it. ps. my download is getting faster!! now it has 24 days left lol.
no not really, i like u torrent more. btw, i think my slow download speeds have somethin to do with closed ports. can someone please help me?
Is there a green check mark on the bottom? I used to have a yellow mark because my firewall was blocking the port.
http://www.portforward.com/english/rout ... rindex.htm Choose your router, then choose the program you want to have you ports forwarded on, then just follow the guide.
Yes it's safe, hackers don't enter your computer by trying to connect through random ports and hoping one connects. If a hacker wants to get into your computer, he will.
