Ohh yeah.. I'm really sorry about that.. Should have edited.. Sorry.. But thanks! I'll remember that.. Internet's really slow at the moment.. When I was quoting Kadam's message and deathader's message together, they said that I posted the message too soon or something so I waited a while and tried it again and it was successfully posted.. And when I went to view my message, I realized that I had 2 post of the same message.. My apologies once again..
Also, TuneUp Utilities 2007 may work well. You might have adware, so I suggest you get a program called Adaware to check for that, and Spybot Search and Destroy. Anyways, all the best in running your internet faster.
Try disabling al runing web applications such as: Outlook Aim/IM Downloads. Etc...Anything that uses a connection other then Internet explorer. And cleaning up up the desktop will help free up RAM which will help the pages run faster..And to further optimise try defragging the comp and using disk clean up. all those procedures should help.
msconfig I did this just now, it works great Go to Start > Run then enter msconfig Select the Services or Startup tag and just un-check anything you don't want to run when you start your computer
this is just a notice to you people killing all of your processes... you could actually terminate essential processes, like your antivirus program which is a process run by the current user edit: also I wouldn't exactly recommend messing with msconfig unless you actually know what you are doing
if you are using firefox there are some hidden settings if you type about:config into the address bar. some of those you can tweak to get slightly faster speeds. I dont remember exactly which ones to use but it should be easy to find on google.
I've tried that before.. It got my computer hung.. Even if it's okay, I still don't feel that the computer or internet's faster..
ya another thing is you're computer speed itself which determined the loading time of the images ...videos...etc. =)
