you posted once stating the question, there is no need to continue posting unless you have the full answer
EDIT: hahahaha i'm so retarded, i did the circumfrence of the circles not the area!! thats what happens when you do maths at 5am, i got rid of my answer so no one gets confused, the real answers on next page
diameter is 23. the square circumscribed about the circle is 23x23 the diag of the square = diameter of the big circle = sqrt(2*23^2) annullus = pi(R^2 - r^2) = 415.475628 Multiply that by 2 because there are two sides: Rounded, it gives you 831.
I put "831 square millimetres" as the answer for this week... I still haven't gotten a notification from last week's either......
It won't be Ok, you only had to put 831 And that was only a guess, using formulas and all stuff, but it doesn't mean it's ok even though personally i think it's the right answer.
It's asking to get the area of the golden part of the coin, but the coin has two sides, that's why i doubled it.
i hate lenny couldrum its too confusing im not good with mind games lol but i need the avvie so i will ave to try
Well I put that because the question asks "What is the surface area in square millimetres?" And my math teachers used to take off points if the question was phrased like that and you DIDN'T put the units at the end of your answer. -shrug- We'll see! *crosses fingers*
lol try doing chemistry. if you dont show every little microscopic detail of working out you can lose over half the marks for a question!!
