Neopets deletes old inactive accounts?

I had an account I made back in late 2000. It was over 9 years old, however I was not on it for about 3-4 years. Typed in the name of the account and it no longer exists. Did they delete it? lol

 

They usually delete old accounts after 4 or 5 years of non use

 

Can you then create a new accoutrements usin that name

 

That sucks, I have another old account over 6 years that is still there but I dont know the password and dont have the e-mail anymore. Lets see if neopets will send me the password with the information I do know lol.

 

Not only that, they clear all the stuff out of inactive accounts if your inactive at least 2 years I think. Happened to me, they gave the account back (it wasn't frozen i forgot the password after being inactive forever) and millions in investments were gone....lol everything was gone.
Nobody could of gotten in and taken it because it had said "last spotted a long long time ago" or whatever before i got it back. lol

 

I don't think theyll do it, even if you provide the right info theyll say, reply to us from the email that created the account and well return it, otherwise they wont

 

Think Viacom can help me get it? lol

 

not sure, youd probably be better off trying them though then tnts regular support, youd probably get an atuomated message from tnts regular support, id try both

 

I put in a request on neopets, now I will submit one for Viacom

sucks big time, they purge old accounts, but which one they do is random. i had an old frozen account that was delted, so i recreated it lol. i also have a couple of shells from 2002 that i had forgotten the passwords to, some are still there and some are gone (i know cuz i create them with numbering lol XXXXXX1, XXXXXX2, XXXXXX3, etc. i can create new accounts with the same name as the missing ones. so i guess its totally random which accounts are purged and rereleased and which ones are untouched.

 

I have an old account over 8 years..and its still there..

But i lost the password..and it has been inaccessible for too long!!

I dont know on what basis neopets deletes old account..

Yeah they do delete old accounts, I lost my 8 year account had 2 draiks and 1 kraw one it, Along with over 400m on it..

 

I never knew they deleted old accounts that's really sad.

 

My account was inactive for like 6 years before I started playing again... As soon as I guessed the birthday right (I remembered password and email. >.>) I got it back, and it still had all of my items/pet/etc.

 

yea they delete the account. thats why if your just goin on hiatus. keep logging in everynow and then for your dailes so your account dont get too old

also they may ask for your birthday and if you forget that!

Same here, I don't know what I have in there though I just want to see whats inside.

 

Ya it probably got deleted it's around the time where they delete them.
