My old account I just regained access to. I can't remember my PIN, so I tried to have it resent to my email. however, it says Emails sent to MyEmail@Email.com bounce back to us and do not get through to you. So, I went ahead to change my email. .... I need my pin to change my email. LOL so a pin cracker would come in quite handy sigh. Not sure if this is possible, but. maybe?
It was possible a few weeks ago, but apparently has been patched. Unfortunately, you will either have to access the email to get it, guess the pin, or send in a ticket to TNT and hope they will reset it for you. Best option would be to get into the email in my opinion
If there is no limit on guessing a PIN, it is possible to make a program that guesses it. Be careful with this discussion as it is borderline with cracked accounts - and such discussions are not allowed on Neofriends. I will be monitoring this closely.
5 tries max and after, you can't use it for 1 hours if I remember correctly. That's only 120 guesses per day.
I thought cracked accounts were those that you've taken/stolen from somebody else. As this is his own account that he has regained control of, there should be no issue. Also, if there is an issue with this thread, shouldn't there be an issue with the thread I posted in the level 3 private chat? As long as somebody doesn't use these programs/information for the wrong reasons, I don't see a problem. Also, Lightning, when you opened the program i posted in lvl 3 chat, is there any way to use the coding in that program and incorporate it into a PIN cracking program?
But then the activities encourage cracked accounts to be sold in the Market, and once it gets that far, it is hard to tell whether the account is cracked or not. The point of Private Forums is privacy and trust - I hope it can stay that way. Not that I know of.
sorry guys. didn't mean to create a problem. D: i just think a pin cracking program would be a huuugee help for me personally. although i'm not sure how many other people are in predicaments like this. and the program would in all honesty probably be used for more bad than good.
