It isn't a matter of how much RAM you have, its what type of Ram you are using. You could have for an example 2 gig of DDR Ram and it will not do the same as what 2 gig of DDR 2 Ram would do. People always talk about RAM as a value but you should really take into consideration what type of RAM it is before you dive in and get it. RAM is a function that acts as a buffer to speed up access to your programs and files that are in use. You can make many choices of the types of RAM to install into your computer, Older computers used to deal with SD RAM, but nowadays DDR and DDR 2 RAM have been released. If your computer is still using SD RAM then id suggest either looking into the compatibility of DDR RAM with your current motherboard, or upgrading your motherboard to allow the use of DDR or DDR 2 RAM. 512MB of SD RAM in no way compares to 512MB of DDR 2 RAM. Take this into consideration when talking about RAM. Generalizations usually lead to false assumptions which put people in the wrong direction.
... I wouldn't go that far dude - Just know particular elements a little better than most things. But hey thanks for the compliment, appreciate it.
