    apparently there can be fees for the gift option

    i just sent 2 payments today and you can either pay the fees yourself or else have the seller incure the fees, i paid them myself but it was only like 80 cents on an 80$ payment

    Mine doesn't have that. It just says payment type: "instant"

    The fee on the payment he sent me was a $1. So it took $1 away from the $23 he sent me.

    anyway, it doesn't change the fact that he's disputing the payment.
    Futhermore, I don't think you can see if he sent it as gift. I think paypal removed this field.
