    Are you kidding me?
Macs are using intel now so tons more things can be run on macs.
And plus, Mac OS X is amazing compared to Windows.

    Ahahaha!
Mac is safer, faster and more unique then windows. Most of what windows has, they stole from Mac OS X. And it isn't like Apple was like oh let's copy PC and use intel now. Well guess what, Intel and Apple joined together to make Mactels. Which are waaaaaaaayyyy better than any PC.
It sounds like you got your information from a 2 year old.

    LOL okay okay..

mac: not nearly as many people, the only reason it might be safe is cause its been around WAY LESS and it has wayy less people.
Like every program that comes out is not compatible with the mac and dont u even DARE say that a mac is faster. If u can prove this PLEASE DO. a mac takes a year to boot up and for the price of getting RAM for it you can buy a super PC.
    windows stole from MAC? lol!!
windows came up with everything before mac, i mean everything, itunes? *cough* wmp?

Mac OS X has Spotlight with a little magnifying glass. Windows Vista has Search with a little magnifying glass. Creative? You betcha.

Didn't you read what I just said? Widgets were first created with Mac OS X. Microsoft stole the idea and created "gadgets" for Vista.

And everyone knows Mac OS X is Faster than Windows. Ask around.

"PCs run at a faster clock speed than Macs, but they have 20 clock cycles per operation, meaning it will take longer to do an operation than a Mac running at 7 clock cycles per operation. PC makers have used this tactic for years, they thought that if they blotted the PC with gigahertz that the consumerwould be so dazzeled that they would forget every other factor."

In reality, a PC with like a 2.5 GHz Processor is like a Mac with a 1Ghz processor.

" PC vs. Mac revisited: Adobe says PCs are faster

The long-time debate between PC and Mac partisans over which platform performs better reached an interesting impasse this week when long-time Apple partner Adobe published a document on its Web site supporting claims that the PC is indeed faster. This development is interesting for two reasons. First, Apple has always used specially written Adobe applications to demonstrate the Mac's performance claims, so it's a bit problematic when the creator of those applications basically refutes the information. And second, Apple has actually responded to the charges. "

;) just the first google that came up.. i dont have time to search for numbers sorry bud!

sorry bud, widgets were made with XP awhile back.. sorry that mighta been 2000

Oh really. So Mac copied windows...even though Mac OS X came out 1 year before XP?

Yeah. And stop calling me bud. As soon as you can prove to me you are literate, older than 10 years old and somewhat intelligent. You can call me bud :).

    Bud!

Every time that someone supporting mac tries and defends it, they always fail to disprove my points and only go back to the small stupid points they said at the start. You're trying to convince me that mac is better yet your stuck up on these little details such as widgets and icons? Like honestly, either give me a serious argument or don't try at all. BUDDY.

    AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA.

I just timed my PowerBook G4, 1.33 GHz Power PC G4 Processor running Leopard and my 2.7 GHz Dell XPS Intel Core 2 Duo running Vista.

    Start-up :
    PB: 42 seconds
    XPS: 58 seconds

    Open PSP :
    PB: 12 Seconds
    XPS: 24 Seconds

OH APPARENTLY MY PC IS FASTER?

OH, and don't be a hypocrite.
OH, and XP came out in 2001.

Widgets are as old as GUIs so I hardly see apple being the first...though possible, I'm pretty sure it was IBM that did the first though it was hardly running Windows as an OS.

The OS "speed" is pretty irrelevant. No one cares if OS X is 10 seconds faster then Vista. Vista sucks for it's own reasons but really most users only look at the end package of their computer. Can a Mac be faster then a PC, sure. Can a PC be faster then a Mac for cheaper...almost always. And really unless you are installing XP onto your Mac in which case....you will be either emulating a butt load of useful programs or doing without. Mac as a platform are pretty much aslways the second look for the design of programs...which is silly now that the hardware is pretty much the same...but you only have Steve to blame there.

Anyone who knows what they are doing looks at benchmarks for the relevant programs. For example if you are a heavy PC gamer you don't care much about dual core...at least you shouldn't. But if you want to surf the web and burn music primarily you don't really need SLI.

Worrying about marketing numbers and brand versions are for the ignorant.

Mac sales have gone up tenfold in the last few months when they brought out the mac that can run Windows XP with all XP programs with full compatibility.

We bought one of the new Macs at work for testing purposes in case any of our clients want any and it absolutely flies.

It seriously nearly made me buy a mac.

Sexier look, better perfomance easier to use and full XP compatible.

    Cant go wrong.
