torrenting is definitely good. it gives the user an option to use it or not. i however, hate it. it's too slow for me which is probably due to my router. i used to use torrents for animes but now there are direct download webbies which makes downloading faster. i'd rather wait

Its also good for the dling speed, if it has like 107 seeds theres like 312 kb/s so thats why i use torrents.

I've had a problem with my torrents atm I struggle to make download speeds go above 20/30 Kb/s when usually i can get 120 Kb/s easily.

Wierd, but I'm sticking with Bitlord for torrents and Shareaza for P2P, I used to use it for torrents, but it's easier to lower your upload rate in Bitlord which increases my download speed.

Did you run a speed test on your Down and Up speeds?

    http://www.speedtest.net

Check it out and see what you get - I think it could possibly be your ISP putting P2P and Torrent users into different IP pools. I know that is how its done here in New Zealand - But I download about 50 - 70kbps with Azureus. If I download straight off a http server or FTP server, I download at the max the site allows which is usually around 100 - 200kbps. Off Microsoft site and Norton i download at around 290kbps which is gppd. Wish every download was like that but its just a dream :p

Take into consideration and ring up your ISP and just inquire about why your download speeds have dropped over 50% in the last "Time period" and see what they have to say.

For Downloading I got 3135Kbps and for uploading I got 130Kbps

Living in New Zealand you get slower broadband speeds but its reliable.

Do you download with the speed you got via speedtest when using P2P or Torrentz?

Re do it and try again. Seems accurate for mine. Don't see why it would be any different for you.

Speedtest shows the right results, around 1mb down and 350kb up. Must be something to do with my ISP, I'll give them a ring or go tech support when I can be bothered!

my whole take on the "you cant download that its illegal!" problem is that if they dont want people to distribute products find ways to stop it. if you cant stop it dont complain about it!

Torrenting hurts the film industry and companies such as Adobe. I see many people downloading softares such as Photoshop and Element. That is hurting the software industries!
