I'm a otaku myself, recently I just finished D.gray man, which is alright for me (no ending though.. o-o) Every week I'm waiting for a new ep of bleach, detective conan and black butler II(somehow, when i say the japanese name it turns to be poo poo D I was wondering if anyone that watches anime here, what other do you recommand? No naruto/one piece, or anything related please :maha:
I enjoy bleach and detective conan as well. Hate naruto and one piece. My all time favorite is Hunter x Hunter but they discontinued it right in the middle. I am currently watching Soul Eater.
Is Bleach still going on? I feel like people have been watching that for forever. How many seasons are there?! (Is it like Pokemon... where there are 9 billion seasons?)
I'm not sure how many seasons, but currently theres 285 eps of anime, and manga/anime are still on going xD Detective Conan has 584 ep right now, i heard that they are ending it this year
Otaku?! I've heard that name only once in Metal Gear! I only really watch Naruto, DBZ, sometimes Bleach and rarely Pokemon. You know mainstream anime lol.
'In modern Japanese slang, the term otaku refers to a fan of any particular theme, topic, or hobby.' ^ From Wikipedia, so im an anime otaku xD I've heard all the animes you listed lol, but only watched bleach out of all of them. Well, maybe a few eps of the others, and pokemon when I was really small..? xD Anyone know some other, short and fun anime, like ouran, vampire knight, fruit basket, kimi ni todoke.. etc? like animes about 12-26 eps
I recommend Maid-sama! it's relatively new [the anime because the manga has been for a while] and I really like it XD
omg, is it the one that came out in april and still ongoing? I LOVE MAID-SAMA XD I just didn't know the english name of it, I watch anime in chinese dubs xD I'm waiting for ep 21(i think 20 something) to come out in friday xDD
I watched Hunter X Hunter series. A pity the manga seems to be on hold now ): Got tired of bleach after a while. As for naruto I watched it till episode 250+ the I realised they were fillers... ><
What is Hunter X Hunter about (is still ongoing?) naruto.. watched like a few ep before when I was young.. but idk, don't want to watch it xD Bleach is okay for me, just that is not realistic the fact ichigo had lost so many blood that can cause him brain damage now, yet he just keeps getting stronger and stronger.. no end o-o
The manga for Hunter X Hunter is ongoing. It lacks scanlators and translators though. I don't know of any group actively subbing the manga. As for the anime series it has stopped. I managed to download the entire collection I might check out Maid-Sama... Seems highly rated.
Maid sama is super awesome, i never read the manga so don't know about that, I can't wait for the next ep already xD
I usually don't watch Japanese stuff, but someone recommended Pandora Hearts and I like it so far (although I like the comic more than the anime adaptation). It actually has pretty good plot development.
I also watched Pandora hearts.. xP Have you watched the ending yet? I kinda disliked the ending. I have a friend that is obsessed with Alice, Pandora hearts is also an awesome anime to watch C: Maybe I should start reading mangas... x.x
One piece, and definitely Naruto Shippuden, thats just great stuff, and fullmetal alchemist. Great endind in the manga.
Lol, nty op and naruto -3- fma is okay, nothing great though, I watched them all, at least the first version or whatever is called anyways
I stopped watching the anime, so I don't really know what the ending is... So they've decided to end the anime when the manga is not even close to being done? Perhaps you should read the manga, though it's kind of slow recently.
Lately I've been watching the series Samurai Champloo. I'd highly recommend it if you don't mind the violence. Here's a great description of it from the Wikipedia page. I'd also recommend Afro Samurai, which is mentioned above. It's only five episodes and very entertaining. Samuel L. Jackson was the perfect voice actor for the role
