I think it's that no one has written a virus for Macs yet, but I'm not entirely sure.

well you got it mostly.... it is that no ones has written one - mostly due to the fact that it would only affect a very narrow range of users, and that it's very difficult to find exploits in OSX

 

So that means Macs are more stable than PC's? But PC's have more capability?

 

Macs are probably more stable but the reason he doesnt get spyware and adware is due to there not being many for the Mac OS.

Well I use virtual PC, so I can run any programs that a PC can run. But I'd take stability over capability any day.

 

I use AVG which I've tested myself is better than norton (crappy waste of money IMO)

 

Norton came with my friends VIAO. To this day h still hasn't taken that peice of crap off his computer. LOL

 

I don't trust "virus blockers" and "adaware" Because I found out adaware was secretly spilling other adware into my comp while taking some out, I also got viruses off that crap and at one point it killed my computer to the extent which I had 400ish processes running when I restarted my computer and it was like holy Shiz, but yeah now I don't use anything and I don't get viruses =D

 

You just have to research every program before you use it.

I don't use anything when I boot into Windows either, I'm just a lot more careful about where I go on the internet.

 

ahhhh..... how about ewido an-ti spy ware is that efective though?

 

I used ewido awihle back. It was pretty much crap compared to tall the other anti virus software i've used It dosen't catch much.
