accordning to ucla thinks sophos is the best and they are correct. do u no where the internet originated from? thas right...ucla! when they say sophos is #1 they mean it. obviously, the originator of the internet should decide what is teh best antivirus u can even chek their recommended progrems here...

    http://www.bol.ucla.edu/software/win/

i culd get the programs 4 free cuz i got an account on there...

Yes but where are the statistics to prove it?
Anyone can say something is best.
I can say windows ME is best but that DEFINATELY does not make it the best windows out there.
I wouldn't agree with the site if they were just pulling the list out of nowhere.
They went and tested each anti-virus. How it held up against viruses and all that other stuff. That's how it was generated. Not on bias but on facts and figures.
Just because a person FROM ucla has it on their website does not mean that this person is one of the people that invented the internet.
And even if he invented it that does not make him an expert on anti-virus because technically the internet really doesn't have much to do with viruses in terms of being alike and such.
They get spread through the internet, but they also get spread by CD's and other ways of media.

Jeebus are you being serious or are you just messing around. And I do hope it's the latter.

ya but not only did theu originate the internet, they have also ran some tests on antiviruses. obviously since they invented the internet, they can test to find out which virus protects u the most while browsing the web.

Well I've used Panda Titanium 2006 since I got my new pc (about a year ago) and it's been working perfectly.
No viruses, spyware, whatever I like it as it is.
    So I'd probs reccommend it.

I'll believe that when you present some evidence. A trustworthy source, not necessarily something like msnbc.. but a place with many members and that's a corp that makes money.

I'm not downloading a second anti-vi that i've already tried before and hadn't liked because when I switched over to kaspersky it found one virus that sophos didn't.

Torrents.Uhm what makes you think I didn't try sophos? Just because I don't use it doesn't mean I didn't try it.
