    Uhh...you do the back up while your computer is working. That would save your data. But if your computer's gone bung, unless you get it working again for a day or so to back up your files, i don't know how you can access it.

    Obviously nothing can be done to regain those files, so I guess youre asking what we do to.. contain ourselves or.. feel better.

    I wont. Id go crazy mad, fall into a deep depression.. and probably get over it a week later.

    depends on how important the files are. if they were super super important i will definitely be sad. I will try to send it for repair. if it cannot get fixed then i will just have to remake them..... :|

    Im a nerd so first of all i would take my computer apart and fix it, caz if it just goes crazy and shuts down then its proabbly spyware, ad-ware, or a virus, so i would reboot in DOS and run a system scan and take care of any problems that may have got in to my system.
