Alright I caved in and got the game.... (for $35 USD I might add. too good to pass up). And as usual, I play the SP campaign before touching MP. Played about 3 hours of the campaign and here is what I think so far. I'm playing on the hardest difficulty setting: Veteran. Music choice is the best I've heard in a COD game. It's not too bad... harder than MW2. MW2 Veteran was too easy aside from a couple of Spec Ops missions. I'm definitely enjoying the story of the campaign. Levels are challenging.. especially the one where you have to kick the barrels (I was raging so hard). and I think they actually used some Vietnamese dialogue for the NVA (North Vietnamese Army) enemies. However, I broke my rule and played one MP game. It was a mercenary TDM and I went about 8-2. So far, not to bad, much more balanced than MW2 where it only took 2 bullets to kill someone. I'm glad they took juggernaut and stopping power out. I only made it to level 3 so I can't make classes yet. Can't wait for the crossbow. Please just talk about Black Ops I don't want my topic to end up like Junior's where Bad Company and MoH started coming in.
Re: My Black Ops Opinions so far my only opinion on black ops is that it's stupidly named because people abbreviate it bo on the boards is this game as friendly to new players as MW2 was? I mean, in MW2, I could learn the controls and then I'd be able to play multiplayer with my friends who've been playing for a year or more

I'm getting used to the game. starting to get some good scores in..might be because I found a gun I actually like. Go the Galil! The n00b tubing is harder, which is good And knifing.. although I've still died from some unrealistic knifes.. The BIGGEST problem at the moment is connection issues, random booting, unable to join friends lobbies or it boots you. Lots of little glitches.

Re: My Black Ops Opinions Okay heres an update on my opinions: Finished the campaign on Veteran: tougher than MW2 but not as hard as COD4 or WaW. Began MP: Got to Level 23 on first day... liking the balanced aspect. Cod Points isn't as ad as I thought it would be. Not liking contracts that much

I made a cool title/emblem though (playercard) I'm FINALLY starting to enjoy this game too. Capture The Flag found me some objective based players that KNOW HOW TO PLAY! I'm using two guns at the moment: Galil w/ Dual Mag for my TDM games (switching up the perks to unlock pro versions) and AK47u w/ Silencer for my CTF, with steady aim pro, marathon pro and lightweight pro.
Re: My Black Ops Opinions I think emblem and titles stay. The whole reason why people prestige is for bragging rights. Doesn't seem reasonable that they'd have emblems and titles removed upon prestige.

Re: My Black Ops Opinions i just got this game today. This is probably the first time I enjoyed the camapaign in a cod game. I beat it in like 4-5 hours. i thought the story was pretty good... almost like a long movie. MP will take a little bit more time to get used too but I like it. (nuketown FTW)
